A new import of semen 2025
A new import of semen from three Valais Blacknose Rams has just arrived. This brings our total number of Rams imported to nine. We have tried to ensure a wide base of genetics to provide ample variation for the breed to get started in Australia. Other breeders are now following our lead and their genetics also add to the genepool, however be aware of some overlap in pedigrees.

It is very early days but the first tank of semen and embryos has already arrived in Australia!
We are very pleased and proud to be able to bring in this new and beautiful breed and we are excited to be a part of its development here. This is the beginning of our program of ongoing imports of Valais Blacknose genetics into the future.
Valais Blacknose originated from Switzerland and is a breed that has become sought after around the world. Known as the 'worlds cutest sheep' they have a distinctive pattern and fleece that endears them to all.
They are a medium to large breed that are placid and friendly.
In Australia Valais Blacknose Australia Ltd ensures the integrity of the breed here. The registry incorporates a purebred only register and in addition it will also include a separate appendix registry system for those people wanting to breed up from other breeds using purebred Valais semen.
